This was the best 1,000 dollars I've ever spent.  The guy who owned it before me took the stock 4-cylinder out and replaced it with a 3.0 V-6 and an auto trans.  We added 3 inches of lift in the back, and turned the torch en bars up in the front.  Wish it wasn't IFS.  We've cut the front and back bumpers off and welded on c-channel steel beams to replace them. I've put all new skid plates under the front end because it had none when I got it. Its got a set of 33-12-50 buckshot mudders mounted on steel 15x10 rims. It clears them quit well for no finder cutting.  Me and my dad added on a swing away spare tire mount, made out of old spare square tubing, on the rear bumper and we welded the rear end for better traction.  For the 2,500 dollars I have in this old 4-runner after everything is said and done, you couldn't ask for a better rig for trail riding. The best thing about owning and modifying this rig is, my dad taking time to help me and give me ideas on how to improve it.
