This is my 75 Chevy Silverado Stepside. This was a ground up build. My two sons (Jason & Cody) and I tore this truck down to bare frame. We sand blasted the frame and coated with spray on bed liner. We added 3 1/2 inches of Rough Country suspension, replaced all bushing with Energy Suspension parts. We sat this on a stock GM govenor lock with 3:73's. Front axle is a Dana 44 with Detroit Locker and Warn locking hubs. We mounted 35x13.5 x15 Toyo MT's on Mickey Thompson wheels. The stock twin fuel tanks were removed and a 31 gal. blazer fuel tank was mounted between frame rails and behind the rear axle. Rear fender was customized to handle the new fuel tank filler neck. An 8000lb Smittybuilt winch was mounted between the frame rails and behind the stock front bumper. Engine is a 350 with RV cam and headers. Large 4-core radiator was added for cooling. Twin Optima batteries for power. Transmission is a 350 with shift kit, transfer case is a 203 with part time kit. Body was under coated with spray on bed liner and mounted to frame using polyurethane bushings. Interior was gutted and new headliner, door panels and floor mat & pad. Also new dash pad, seat & retractable seat belts. A stock Chevy tilt wheel & instrument cluster to include tach were added. Pioneer CD player & speakers were also added. Body was painted with original Berrydale Red and clear coated. Future upgrades may include TBI injection, Chrome Roll-bar and more body work. My sons & I did all the work except we had the sterio installed and the front axle ring & pinion installed. All the rest we did ourselves including the body & paint.
And don't forget Mom, who did almost all the cleaning!
