Well I should tell you that the water pump, oil pump and head gaskets were all replaced. The head gaskets went out at 320,000.After that the tranny went out along with the front cv shafts. To much plowing. If It wasnt used as a plow truck it would still be on the road.It current state is as a storage unit for a portable sled dog house. The bed that is not the cab. It may rise from the dead though.

Nice to see some old (88-98) chevys getting some trail time.I'm currently thinking of fixing up a 91 k1500.Its a 5 speed with a 4.3 and 590,000 miles on the stock engine. Those first gen ifs trucks are tuff if you dont jump them. The truck I was talking about spent its life in northern mn as a survers truck and was used to plow 4 mile of gravel road one way.Is that a 5.7 or 5.0 truck?
Did you say 590,000 miles on your 4.3? My 4.3 has 180,000 on it and I was worried, guess there's no need to worry now.
