About my Ram 1500

This is my '97 custom Dodge RamCrawler!!!  I have done all the work on this truck myself and am very proud of the outcome so far!  It has a homemade lift that employs 10" Full Throttle coils in the front and custom made 10" Alcan leaves in the rear.  I went on the famous Billings Canyon trail here in Grand Junction, CO and got a little bed damage, so I decided to dovetail it so the tailgate is only 30" wide instead of the original 67"!!  What a difference!  The engine has been enhanced with an aftermarket chip and of course a K&N Filter, and Amsoil Synthetic!  The truck still uses the stock auto trans and NP231 transfercase.  The axles are still the stock Dana 44 front and Chrysler 9.25" rear.  I welded the rear on a whim before a trip to Moab, and it has performed ever since!  The front is upgraded with chromo stub shafts and that is it!  You ask, what is the big deal... it rides on 42" Pitbull Rockers!!!  And I have never broken the axles!  I drive smart and keep out of the throttle when not necessary!
The bumpers are also homemade out of T-1 Armor plate so they literally are bulletproof!!!
The truck will soon be stepping up to steering rockwells front and rear with a new coilover rear suspension, and stretched front to accommodate 49" Iroks!!  To anyone that is looking into building a capable offroad vehicle, the second generation Dodge Ram trucks are an excellent platform and can be purchased for a low price!  I highly recommend it to anyone!!!!!

That is one serious ram.  Great job.  I was wondering how tough the drivetrain is on these trucks and you just answered my question.  Shouldn't be any problem with some minor muddin and a couple trips on the beach.
